max allbee
Max Allbee is a visual artist and educator from San Francisco, California who's artwork explores a fascination of the identity of place, nostalgia and the changing urban landscape. Allbee specializes in mural painting and screenprinting, yet being a teaching artist has always been a part of his creative practice. Allbee has a Masters in Art Education from City College of New York (whose mascot is a Beaver) and a BA from The Evergreen State College (whose mascot is a Geoduck). In his series "Far from Home; Home from Afar" Allbee mixed imagery from New York City and San Francisco to inform densely illustrated scenes exploring real and imagined worlds. Allbee stays busy teaching Art at Wilson High School in Long Beach CA, as well as screenprinting, painting and taking lots of pictures of storefronts and found inspiration.
