Sanctuary, 2017.
Dedicated to all immigrants, migrants, refugees, dreamers and those who struggle everyday in these uncertain times. This artwork is meant to both validate and question whether this city and country is or is not still a true sanctuary for those who need it to be.
Resilience by Aysia Tiger, Melody Sandoval, Jessica Yu, Poppy Gallegos-Zingarelli, Shakty Angeles, and Mariana Rodriguez, former students and one current Junior from The Academy SF high school. Organized by artist Max Allbee, the youth worked together to design and paint the mural with the intention to honor and acknowledge the resilience of Latinx families and experiences of young people in San Francisco’s Mission District during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We wanted to appreciate the essential workers that have continued to put their lives on the line in order for us o feel a sense of normalcy.
In addition, the youth created a GoFundMe campaign to raise $3,000 to support the work.

Excelsior Portal 2011
This is a community mural I designed and painted with input from over 200 neighbors and students from San Francisco's Excelsior District in 2011. The twin monumental murals run along the sides of the Mission street bridge over Highway 280 and Alemany Blvd. Combined the murals are over 4000 square feet of painted surface.
